Tamaris Black Platform Sock Boots 1-25497

Tamaris Black Wedge Sock Boots — 1-25497

These Tamaris platform sock boots are a calf-height, close-fitting boot with a round toe, inner zip fastening, and a 55mm synthetic platform sole — designed for smart everyday wear where comfort and a strong silhouette matter equally. The stretch-fit sock construction hugs the ankle and lower leg for a sleek, streamlined look that works across a wide range of outfits. With Tamaris's Touchit footbed and a vegan leather upper and lining throughout, they are built to be worn regularly, not saved for special occasions.

Key Features

• 55mm platform sole provides a substantial lift that is distributed evenly underfoot, making it easier to wear for longer than a traditional heel of the same height
• Sock boot construction creates a close, streamlined fit around the ankle and lower leg, giving a long, unbroken leg line
• Vegan leather upper and lining delivers a smooth, structured finish that is animal-product free without compromising durability or appearance
• Round toe offers enough room across the toe box to be comfortable for standard to slightly wider feet and those with mild bunions
• Inner zip fastening allows for a clean, seam-free outer silhouette while still being straightforward to put on and take off
• Touchit technology soft footbed cushions and adapts to the shape of the foot over time for improved all-day comfort
• 18cm shaft height sits at a flattering calf point and pairs well with both trousers and skirts

Fit and Sizing

These boots fit true to size in a standard width. If you are between sizes, size up as half sizes are not available in this style. The sock boot construction is close-fitting around the ankle and lower leg — not elasticated, but designed to sit snugly — so if you have a wider calf, it is worth checking the shaft circumference before ordering. The round toe gives a reasonable amount of room across the front of the foot, making them suitable for mild bunions, though not recommended for prominent bunions.

Best For

• Smart everyday wear — work commutes, days out, casual appointments
• Office and professional environments where a polished boot works in place of a heel
• Autumn and winter dressing when you want height without a traditional stiletto or block heel
• Pairing with wide-leg or straight-leg trousers for a clean, contemporary look
• Building a capsule wardrobe around a versatile black boot that crosses multiple outfit types
• Women who want a noticeable sole height but need the comfort of an even, flat-across-the-foot platform

Styling Guidance

The sock boot silhouette works particularly well with wide-leg or straight-cut trousers — the close fit at the ankle and the platform sole create a long, confident line without any gap between boot and trouser hem. For a smarter look, wear with tailored wide-leg trousers in charcoal, navy, or camel and a fitted knit or blazer. They also work well under midi skirts or dresses with opaque tights through autumn and winter, keeping the outfit feeling intentional rather than casual.

• Works well with: wide-leg trousers, straight-leg denim, midi skirts with tights, longline coats
• Colour palette: charcoal, navy, camel, ivory, forest green
