Vagabond Shoemakers Ethos

Right from the start Vagabond Shoemakers had a very clear vision. They aimed to create contemporary footwear with a strong focus on quality and sustainability. The city of Varberg is home to their headquarters and design studio. Designers and partners from around the globe come here to collaborate, resulting in this creative hub becoming the birthplace of many of their iconic designs.

Vagabond makes intentional choices concerning each element of the shoe from the materials and construction to design. Vagabond has a full-scale prototyping workshop alongside its studio, this allows them the freedom to create and test all their ideas to achieve excellence. 

A lot of thought goes into sourcing the best quality materials. All leather used by the brand is from LWG (Leather Working Group) certified tanneries. They use chrome-free tanned insoles to the greatest extent possible, while their textile linings consist of either GOTS-certified organic cotton, recycled polyester or Tencel™.

How does Vagabond fit?

Vagabond shoemakers footwear has standard sizing. Stick with your regular size. If you usually wear a half size, size down. Vagabond uses full-grain leather that softens with wear.

Do Vagabond leather boots stretch?

In short, yes. Most Vagabond boots are constructed from a leather inner and outer shell. This will soften in the width. The length will stay the same.
